James J. Carpenter, Jr.

James J. Carpenter, Jr., 84, of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at home. He was the husband of the late Gabriele J. Barbel Carpenter.

Born in Brooklyn, New York on August 27, 1942, James was a son of the late James J. Sr, and Dorothy (Willie) Carpenter. He enjoyed traveling and watching TV, especially crime shows.

James is survived by his son, James J. Carpenter III, husband of Ruth; two grandchildren, Deanna Carpenter and Tiffany Jones; two great grandchildren, Isaiah and Josiah; sister, Kathy Couture; and good friend, Dianna Dohner. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Joan and Linda.

Interment with full military honors will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
