Ronald J. Klinger, 69, of Reading, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014 at home. He was the husband of Theresa M. (Herr) Klinger, with whom he celebrated 40 years of marriage on March 23, 2014. Born in Lebanon on June 9, 1944, he was a son of the late Donald and Betty (Shetter) Klinger. Ronald worked for and later retired from Hershey Foods. Retirement became boring, however, so he then worked at Manheim Auto Auction for eight years. He was an avid bowler and member of the Lebanon District Hall of Fame. He coached Little League and adult softball as well as junior league bowling. Ronald was a devoted Phillies fan who loved spending time with his dog, "Keisha". In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children - Ronald C. Klinger, husband of Vicki Klinger, Tammy Klinger, wife of Wayne Hainly, Greg Kreiser, Jennifer Miranda, wife of Jerry Miranda, and Andrea Collazo, wife of Edgar Collazo; 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; two brothers - James and Michael Klinger; a sister, Frances Newhouse; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 31st at 11 AM with a visitation from 10-11 AM at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon 17042. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ronald's name may be made to The American Cancer Society, Box 1274, Lebanon, PA 17042.
