It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved mother Virginia M. Plumby who passed away on September 20, 2022. She was born on January 17, 1921 in Martins Ferry, Ohio to the late Frances Martin and John Kudla.

Throughout their loving marriage of 55 years, Virginia was the devoted wife of the late Don Plumby.

Virginia lived a life of love, compassion, honesty and commitment. She was a quiet force selfless towards those she loved. A member of the "Greatest Generation", she enjoyed sharing memories that spanned her 101 years. She has set a beautiful example for those who knew her and her memory will be cherished.

Virginia is survived by her daughter Donna Plumby Griffith and son Michael Plumby (Anne); grandchildren: Daniel Plumby (Emily), Stephen Plumby (Amanda), Teri Giurintano (Philip), Melodie Brown (Jay), and Kelly Griffith (Taryn); great grandchildren, Jason Giurintano, Dana Sacony, Joshua and Kyle Brown, Nikia Levy, Sara Einwechter, Jonathan, Nicholas, and Alexander Beall, Joseph Judah and nine great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Neal and her granddaughter, Tammy Griffith Beall.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, September 26, 2022 at St. Mary's Church, 2 N 8th St, Lebanon, PA 17046. A viewing will be held prior to mass from 10-11 at the church. Interment will be in Martins Ferry, Ohio at St. Mary's Cemetery on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations in Virginia's name may be made to St. Mary's Church at the above address. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
