Violet J. Richards, 91, of Lebanon, passed away Monday, November 29, 2021. She was the wife of the late James R. Richards.

Born in Ephrata, PA on June 19, 1930. Violet was a daughter of the late Irvin and Mabel (Stark) Smith. She graduated from Myerstown High School. She worked at Bayer Pharmaceuticals and Lebanon Packaging. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, bingo, and especially spending time with friends and family.

She is survived by two sons, Kevin M. Richards, husband of Laura Richards, and James E. Richards and five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Daniel, Gabrielle, Christian, and Isabella.

She was preceded in death by her son, Stephen J. Richards, a sister and four brothers.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 10th at St. Mary's Church, 2 N. 8th Street, Lebanon, PA 17046. Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A visitation will be held prior to Mass Friday morning from 9:30-10:30 at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Violet's name may be made to Spang Crest, 945 Duke Street, Lebanon PA 17042.
