Obituary

Victor Adolf Roeske was born on April 4, 1937, in Riga, Latvia. His family immigrated to Lebanon in 1952. He passed away at his residence at the age of 85 on Monday, August 29, 2022. Victor was the son of the late Adolf Christian Roeske and Katerina (Polis) Roeske. He is survived by his soul mate and loving wife, Patricia A (Spangler) (Bonsall) Roeske, to whom he was married for 56 years.

He was a 1955 graduate of Lebanon High School and 1965 graduate of Lebanon Valley College with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. He was employed by Alcoa beginning 1965 and retired 1995 as a Planning Analyst. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army as a Spec 5.

Victor was baptized as a child in the Catholic faith. His mother was Swedish, and his father was German. As an adult he loved walking with his beloved wife and dogs, traveling with his wife, and cherished his children and grandchildren. Victor had a lifelong love of cars and owned many different sports cars throughout the years.

Surviving in addition to his dearly loved wife are three children; Robert E Bonsall, Jr. & wife Paula Bruckner, Nicole K (Roeske) Kuhl, married to Karl Kuhl and Michael C Roeske married to Danielle (Haug) Roeske. Also surviving are 13 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 2 great granddaughters, 1 great grandson & nieces and nephews and also numerous cousins in Germany & Switzerland. Additionally, he was preceded in death by his brother Richard H. Roeske married to Patricia K (Geyer) Roeske. Victor wishes everyone on this earth could have the joys he was fortunate enough to have experienced that far outweighed the occasional bumps along the way.

There will be no viewing but there will be a visitation from 11-12 on Friday, September 2nd followed by a memorial service at 12:00 pm at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S 9th St, Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment with full military honors will be at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Victor had a long and happy life with his family.
