Seth Benton Jr., 63, of Johnson City, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Lake Ridge Nursing & Rehabilitation. He was born to the late Seth and Jessie Mae Benton on April 6, 1958, in Suffolk, Virginia.

Seth moved from Suffolk, Virginia to Philadelphia, PA in 1967. Seth attended Gillespie Junior High School in Philadelphia. Seth moved around a bit, he left Philadelphia and lived in Lebanon. He later moved to Tennessee where he remained until his passing. Seth was a very quiet person, remained with his parents and helped take care of them until their passing. No matter what was going on, Seth never complained. His answer was always, "I am alright" or "everything is good" and then quickly asking you "how you are doing?" Seth loved people and was ready to help anyone he could. He enjoyed watching all sports but his favorites were football and hockey.

Seth was preceded in death by his father, Seth Benton, Sr., his mother, Jessie Mae Benton and his brother, James E. Benton. He leaves to cherish his memory his brother, Junious L. Wiggins and sister-in-law, Lula M. Wiggins of Harrisburg, PA and a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at 12:00 pm at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th Street, Lebanon, Pennsylvania. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Kimmerlings Cemetery. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. has been entrusted with the arrangements.
