Sekhani James

Our littlest angel, Sekhani James departed November 3rd, 2026.

Sekhani’s time with us was far too short, but the love he brought was boundless. In the brief time while we had him, he filled our lives with a joy and a tenderness we will never forget. He was wanted, he was cherished, and he was loved with everything our family had.

We will always wonder who he would’ve become. We will carry him in every quiet moment, every silent tear we shed, every milestone he should have met and every birthday we will mark in our hearts that he should’ve celebrated. He was small, he was perfect, and he will always be ours.

Sekhani is preceded in death by his grandfathers Leroy Martin and Bernard English Sr. He is lovingly remembered by his parents Christopher Sr & Shanell James, his godparents Frances Rodriguez and Shelton Carr, his siblings Olajuwon, Chris Jr, Prince, Sanari James. His grandmothers Lisa English & Beatrice James, his aunts Kynisha Allen, Kathy and Monique James, his uncles Tyrone Davis, Tyrone James, Bernard English II, Jesse James, Tile James, Willie Allen and Maurice Carr and all who loved him from the very beginning.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you hold your loved ones close and speak his name, so that he is always remembered. Sekhani means joy or happiness, Mekhi means “who is like the Lord”
