Sandra C. Spangler passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at the age of 79. She was the wife of Paul A. Spangler, Jr. Born in Lebanon, PA on May 18, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Joseph C. Long, Jr. and Josephine E. (Blessing) Long.

She was a 1963 graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School. She retired in 2008 from the Cornwall-Lebanon School District. She enjoyed reading, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, dancing, listening to the "oldies", bowling, and watching college football, especially the West Virginia Mountaineers, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and Penn State Nittany Lions. She was a faithful member of St. Benedict the Abbot Church.

In addition to her husband, Sandra is survived by two daughters, Tracy R. wife of Tim Fleager, Mechanicsburg, and Terri L. wife of Ron Porter, Jr., Highspire. She was the proud grandmother of one granddaughter, Briana Marie Turner who was the love and joy of her life. She is also survived by a brother, James R. Long, Chula Vista, CA; two sisters, Joanne, wife of the late William Hower, and Kathleen, wife of the late John Litz, both of Lebanon; four nieces, and four nephews. She was known for her smile, kindness, and willingness to help others and will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024 at 11:30 AM with a visitation from 10:30-11:30 at St. Benedict's Church, 1300 Lehman St, Lebanon, PA 17046. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sandra's memory may be made to St. Benedict's Church at the above address.
