Sally Ann (Zimmerman) Paugh, 77, of Cleona, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at her home. She was the wife of the late James F. Paugh. Born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania on March 26, 1945, Sally was a daughter of the late Melvin J. Zimmerman and Edith M. Zimmerman Brandt.
Sally Ann graduated from Lebanon High School in 1963. She graduated from the Woman's Medical College School of Nursing, Philadelphia in 1966. She worked at the Good Samaritan Hospital for 44 years in various clinical areas, the Emergency Department, Utilization Management, Quality Management and Health Information Services. In her spare time, Sally Ann enjoyed reading, traveling, gardening and volunteering. She served as the American Cancer Society Miss Hope of Lebanon County in 1976 and 1977. She and her husband, James, were recognized for their volunteer service by The Harrisburg Magazine. She volunteered at the Lebanon Wound Care Center. She and her husband also volunteered at the annual Good Samaritan Street Fair. She worked in many different areas including kiddie rides and money counting. She and her son, Peter and family, volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House in Hershey by preparing monthly meals for a period of time.
Sally Ann assisted her husband during his many years as treasurer for their church bazaar, St. Paul's Catholic Church in Annville. She also sang in the church choir for many years.
Sally Ann is survived by her sons: James R. Paugh (husband of Kim) and Peter S. Paugh; six grandchildren: Lauren E. Cavalier, Jacob M. Paugh, Elyse A. Paugh, Sam Beard, Emma Spang and Noah Spang; one brother Richard D. Zimmerman (husband of Barbara) and eight nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Sally Ann is preceded in death by her brother Gerald Zimmerman and sister Jacqueline M. Bowser.
