Ruth A. Thompson, 91, of Arbor Gate, Myerstown, PA, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday morning, April 3, 2024, from ongoing health issues.

Ruth was born in Lebanon, PA, on August 19, 1932, to the late Harold and Myrl (Dissinger) Miller. She is survived by her sons, the Rev. William M. Thompson and his wife, Leta, of Jim Thorpe, PA, and Rick L. Thompson and his husband, Ken Siegert, of Lancaster, PA; grandchildren Chris Thompson and Tara Thompson; great-grandchildren Rebecca and Natalie; sister, Betsy Mladenoff; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Precious. She was predeceased by her husband, William (Bill), who passed away on March 14, 2019.

In addition to Precious, Ruth was fond of her home and her Arbor Gate community neighbors. The family thanks the kind neighbors who were such a great help to her as her health declined. Special thanks to her immediate neighbors, Carolyn Williams and Kevin Sholley, for their dedicated assistance, which enabled her to stay in her home to the end, just as she wished.
