Obituary

Robert "Bob" Shearer, 82, of Annville, Pennsylvania, passed away on January 10, 2026, at his second home in Davenport, Florida, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 30, 1943, in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, to Woodrow and Mildred Miller Shearer. Bob spent 43 years working in the automotive industry in different roles for the same dealership that changed ownership three times until he retired from McGuire Ford in Lebanon, PA.    He then spent another 10 years working at Fort Indiantown Gap National Guard Training Center in Annville, PA in food service proudly supporting the men and women protecting our country. He was a faithful member of St Paul the Apostle Church and Annville Church of the Brethren throughout his life.

Bob was an avid outdoorsman who truly enjoyed fishing and hunting. He had a passion for golfing, bowling, and bicycle riding, and he remained very active throughout his life. Bob also took great pride in detailing his car and was an enthusiast of model trains. Known for his outgoing personality, he never met a stranger and was often seen walking around the neighborhood, stopping to talk with everyone he met.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Mildred Shearer. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Agnes R. Shearer; his daughter, Tiffany Shearer of Davenport, Florida; his brothers, Woodrow Shearer Jr. of Jonestown, Pennsylvania, and John "Bill" Shearer of Sheldon, Wisconsin; and his sister, Suzy (Ron) Trievel of New Bern, North Carolina.
