Robert Thomas Hartman, 80, of Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Abbeyville Skilled Nursing Home, Lancaster. He was the husband of Sandra L. (Rhoads) Hartman which they recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. He was born in Lebanon on January 31st, 1943. Robert was the son of the late Beatrice (Hartman) wife of Henry Herr.

Robert was known to everyone as Bob. He retired from the Hershey Chocolate Factory where he worked in the Trades department and previously worked at the Lebanon Steel Foundry as a Pattern Maker and Crane Operator. Early in life, Bob was a volunteer firefighter with the Bellegrove Volunteer Fire Department and he was active with the Lebanon County Chiefs Association. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed playing golf, fishing and spending time with family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother, Leonard husband of Kathy Herr, three children - daughter, Sandra "Cookie" Peck wife of Matthew, and sons, Brian husband of Ann, and Timothy husband of Grace. He has seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 12-1 PM on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 South 9th Street, Lebanon. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM.
