Raymond James Klick, formerly of Lebanon, PA and most recently a resident at Sunrise Assisted Living of Newtown Square, died at Bryn Mawr Hospital on Thursday, February 1, 2024.

Klick was born in Paterson, NJ on September 12, 1943 to Raymond and Veronica (Barondick) Klick, both of whom preceded him in death.  He was also preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Monica (Fisher) Klick, and by his big brother, Richard Klick (husband of Kathleen Klick of Pittsburgh, PA).  He is survived by his sons Eric Klick (husband of Lara Klick) of Land O' Lakes, FL and Jonathan Klick (husband of Rebecca Klick) of Penn Valley, PA.  He is also survived by six grandchildren (Jake, Sam, Caitlin, Noah, Connor, and Ben).

After starting his life in the projects of Paterson, Klick moved to Lebanon, graduating from St. Mary's School and Lebanon Catholic High School (class of 1961).  He was drafted into the United States Army in 1965, eventually obtaining the rank of Specialist-4.  He served as a radio operator in Kitzingen West Germany, where he attempted to visit every church and bar in Bavaria and once ended up in a bar in communist Czechoslovakia before being told by the locals he probably should go back across the border.

After returning to the United States, he married Monica in 1967 and worked as a silk screener at the Valley Screen factory in Lebanon.  After the Valley Screen closed, he worked at the Tex-Ark Joist factory until 1988.  After that, he decided baking cookies and growing tomatoes was more fun than making textiles or carrying steel joists.  He moved to Sunrise Newtown Square in July 2021, where he proceeded to watch every episode of Magnum, P.I., Walker, Texas Ranger, and The Rockford Files no fewer than three times.

Despite his run ins with the Sisters of St. Joseph, Klick was a lifelong supporter of Catholic education.  In lieu of flowers, the family encourages individuals to make donations in his name to Our Lady of the Cross School (https://www.ourladyofthecross.org/).

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at St. Mary's Church, 2 N 8th St, Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. A visitation will be held prior to Mass from 10-11 at the church.
