Rafael Diaz Morales, 91, of Myerstown, passed away Friday, March 27, 2026. He was the husband of the late Alicia Ruíz Martínez. Born in Rio Piedras, San Juan, Puerto Rico on January 3, 1935, Rafael was a son of the late Antonio Diaz and Esperanza Morales.

His favorite activity was resting while enjoying a lollipop. He was a programmer in the payroll department for the government.

He is survived by his daughters, Migdalia Martinez and Esperanza Diaz Ruiz. His grandchildren, Marilyn Martin-Diaz, Alberto Soto-Diaz, Gabriel Soto-Diaz, Maria del Carmen Soto-Diaz, Hipolito Heredia Diaz, Diamaris Heredia Diaz, Eileen Heredia Diaz, Rafael Díaz- Ilarraza, and Gilemischel Díaz-Ilarraza, a great granddaughter, Elizabeth Victoria Bueiz; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Alicia Diaz-Ruiz and Rafael Diaz Ruiz, a grandson, Mario Martin Diaz; and two brothers, Antonio Díaz-Morales and Mario Martínez -Díaz.

Rafael Díaz Morales, de 91 años y residente de Myerstown, falleció el viernes 27 de marzo de 2026. Fue el esposo de la difunta Alicia Ruiz Martínez. Nacido en Río Piedras, San Juan, Puerto Rico, el 3 de enero de 1935, Rafael era hijo de los difuntos Antonio Díaz y Esperanza Morales.

Su actividad favorita era descansar mientras disfrutaba de una paleta. Se desempeñó como programador en el departamento de nóminas del gobierno.

Le sobreviven sus hijas, Migdalia Martínez y Esperanza Díaz Ruiz; sus nietos, Marilyn Martin-Díaz, Alberto Soto-Díaz, Gabriel Soto-Díaz, María del Carmen Soto-Díaz, Hipólito Heredia Díaz, Diamaris Heredia Díaz, Eileen Heredia Díaz, Rafael Díaz-Ilarraza y Gilemischel Díaz-Ilarraza; una bisnieta, Elizabeth Victoria Bueiz; y varios sobrinos.

Además de su esposa y sus padres, le precedieron en la muerte dos hijos, Alicia Díaz-Ruiz y Rafael Díaz Ruiz; un nieto, Mario Martin Díaz; y dos hermanos, Antonio Díaz-Morales y Mario Martínez-Díaz.
