In Loving Memory of Providencia "Provy" Gonzalez

With profound love and sorrow, we honor the life of Providencia "Provy" Gonzalez, who passed away on January 28, 2025. Born on September 12, 1939, Provy graced this world with her unwavering kindness, deep faith, and boundless love. She was a woman whose presence brought warmth and whose heart knew no limits in caring for others.

A devoted homemaker, Provy dedicated her life to her family and to God. She carried a heart of gold, always ready to offer a helping hand, a word of encouragement, or a comforting embrace. She found great joy in studying the Bible, allowing her faith to guide her through every chapter of her life. As a cherished church member, she exemplified compassion, wisdom, and selflessness, touching countless lives with her kindness and unwavering belief in the power of love.

Her greatest pride and joy were her family. She was a beloved mother to Brenda Arocho-Nunez and her husband, Kenneth Nunez, whom she loved as another son, Blanca Arocho, William Arocho, and Tomas Arocho. Her love radiated through generations, blessing her with ten grandchildren: Magaly Rohena, Migdalia Lorenzo, Yahaira Arocho, Juan Gabriel Arocho, Esther Velazquez, Antonio Velazquez, Daira Nunez, Ryan Guzman, Keyliz Nunez, and Frangie Arocho; nine great-grandchildren: Nicole Butler, Kimberly Osorio, Valeria Butler, Jonathan Butler, Melany Cortes, Migdalis Cortes, Olianys Maldonado, Janelys Maldonado, and Nova Guzman; and ten great-great-grandchildren, each a testament to the love she so freely gave.

Provy's legacy is one of faith, love, and unwavering devotion. She was a light in the lives of many, a source of strength and guidance, and an example of grace and generosity. Her laughter, wisdom, and gentle spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Though she has left this world, the lessons she taught, the love she shared, and the kindness she embodied will live on in those she touched. Rest peacefully, dear Provy, until we meet again.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.  Please share your memories with the family at our online guest book at thompsonfuneralhomelebanon.com
