Pauline A. Leininger, 86, of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2026. She was the loving wife of the late Albert C. Leininger. Born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania on February 5, 1940, Pauline was a daughter of the late George and Helen (Krepp) Strohm.
She worked as a seamstress, and often in her free time worked on her own sewing projects. She also enjoyed watching college football, specifically Penn State. She loved music, and was an avid fan of Bruno Mars. One of her favorite things she often looked forward to was her family trips to Wildwood, NJ. Pauline would often recall the laughter shared with family and friends as they played pinochle. She was a constant presence at family events, and enthusiastically supported her children and grandchildren in their games, concerts, and competitions.
She was well-known as a woman of principle, fierce independence, and playful stubbornness - a proper Pennsylvania Dutch woman if there ever was one. Her family fondly remembers her laugh, jubilant smile, and mischievousness, a constant reminder of her well-earned childhood nickname of “little devil”.
She is survived by her two children, Jeffrey Leininger, husband of Danielle; and Kathi Miller, wife of Joe; a grandson, Andrew Miller, husband of Stephany; four great grandchildren, Katelyn, Nathan, Briana, Joshua; and in-laws, nieces and nephews.
She was the last of her siblings, and leaves behind a legacy of love, selflessness, acceptance and devotion.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pauline's name may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements. The family welcomes your memories and messages in our online guest book at thompsonfuneralhomelebanon.com
