Patricia "Pat" M. Richards, 86, of Lebanon, Pennsylvania, passed away Friday, December 16, 2022, at Good Samaritan Hospital with son, Tom, by her side. She was born in Lebanon to Rudolph and Margie (Fox) Smetana on February 28, 1936.

Pat graduated from Lebanon High School, class of 1954. Shortly after, she was introduced to her future husband, Edward R. Richards whom she married in 1955 and who preceded her in death in 2015. Pat was also preceded in death by siblings Dorothy (Smetana) Hoch and Alan Smetana, Sr.

Pat was a devoted wife, mother, mother in-law, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Lebanon where she found comfort in her senior years. Pat valued her friendship with many and was active with her Lebanon High School classmates, attending every class reunion and enjoying regular lunches with a group of them at the Cedar Grill. Pat loved to stay active and took long walks at South Hill, enjoying them well into her 80's. She especially loved her children and grandchildren, spending much time with them. Granddaughter, Hannah, loved laughing with "Nannie" as they tackled grade school homework, played Uno, and shopped together. Pat lovingly called her grandsons "poopsie" and will forever be remembered by them and her great grandchildren as "Poopsie Nana".

Pat is survived by her two sons and their wives: Scott and Meg Richards, and Tom and Amy Richards; four grandchildren: Peter, Jonathan, Mark, and Hannah; three great grandchildren: Elizabeth, Benjamin, and William; and sister: Darlene (Smetana) Porino.

Pat was a life-long resident of Lebanon except for 2-years spent in southwest New Jersey. She retired from the County of Lebanon Assessment Office in 2001.

A private family service and funeral is planned. Pat will be interred beside her husband, a Navy veteran, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
