Michael H. Evans, 85, of Myerstown, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of Jane L. (Habecker) Evans, his high school sweetheart, to whom he was married for 67 years.

Born in Lancaster, PA on May 13, 1938, Michael was a son of the late Robert and Vera (Hunchberger) Evans. He was a member of the Richland VFW, the American Legion, Elstonville Sportsman's Association, and the Germania Band Club of Manheim. He was a very talented self taught woodcarver, an avid golfer, wonderful husband, and loving father. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Michael is survived by two daughters, Tammy Ganse, wife of Joe, and Jolynn Hollister, wife of Sam; four grandchildren: Bronson Ganse, husband of Christine, Dane Ganse, husband of Tara, Trent Hollister, husband of Aprille, and Taryn Wiest, wife of Chris; six great grandchildren: Camryn McCloskey, Reece McCloskey, Falyn McCloskey, Juliette Wiest, Coleson Wiest, and Rowan Hollister; two brothers, Jere Evans and Tom Evans; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four siblings: Doug Evans, Pat Detwiler, Teddy Mowery, and Jessie Strickler.

A celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 11:00am-1:30pm at White Swan Restaurant, 1264 East Newport Road, Lititz, PA 17543.
