Michael R. Batdorf, 80, of Lebanon passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Elizabeth J. (Smith) Batdorf. Born in Lebanon on November 12, 1942, he was the son of the late John and Christine (Arnold) Batdorf.

Michael was a graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School and worked in sales for most of his life. He also enjoyed fishing and golfing.

In addition to his wife, Michael is survived by three children - Tammy Nye, Debbie Zeigler and Michael S. Batdorf; seven grandchildren - Nicole, Shana, Hunter, Crystal, Tiffany, Emily and Brayden; ten great grandchildren - Tamia, Mikah, Royal, Sophya, Jordyn, Haidyn, Gabby, Ezra, Teagun, Easton and one on the way; his sister, Patricia Wolfe; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers - John, Joseph, and Steve; and two sisters - Tina Emerich and Mary Wolfe.

Funeral services will be held Friday September 22, 2023 at 11:00am at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. 126 South 9th Street, Lebanon. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10-11am. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Michael's name to a charity of your choice.
