Obituary

Megan Theresa Stefonich was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on November 20, 1989 to Michael and Mary Stefonich. She was a 2008 graduate of Lebanon Catholic, and afterwards attended Susquehanna University and HACC. She passed away in Lakewood, New Jersey on December 27, 2022 after a short, aggressive battle with Huntington's Disease which also subsequently took multiple family members including her father in 2019.

Megan was extremely athletic and you could usually find her running at Stoevers Dam park or exercising at the gym. She played and excelled at multiple sports, with basketball being her favorite. She was a great student and was fluent in Spanish. She worked very hard, and put 110% into everything she did. She loved to dance and sing. She had a huge interest in pop culture, and loved to keep up on the latest celebrity gossip. Her thoughts and opinions were strong, and she was even awarded the senior superlative of "most likely to start a debate". She cared for her family and friends unconditionally and would do anything for anyone. Megan loved and adored her son Jonathan (8) and her daughter Serafina (3) above anything else. They were her reason to get up in the morning, and to keep going.

Surviving in addition to her children are Megan's mother Mary Stefonich of South Lebanon, sisters Rebekah Sanford of Harrisburg and Anne McGee of Cornwall; along with multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Megan's laugh and huge heart will forever be remembered by those who knew her and were blessed enough to be close to her. Megan always had a light about her, with her bright green eyes and beautiful smile. She will be missed forever.
