Mary D. Spangler, age 104, of Elizabethtown, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2025 at Masonic Village. She was the wife of the late Miles Earl Spangler.

Born in Cressona, PA on March 13, 1921, Mary was a daughter of the late Charles and Bertha (Rupp) Hardenstine. She was a 1939 graduate of Lebanon High School, and a member of Eastern Star, Lebanon Chapter #115 OES for 75 years and St. Stephen's Christian Fellowship Church. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and playing word games on her IPad. She loved having visitors and Monday night roundtable discussions.

Mary is survived by two children, Linda L. Miller, wife of George and Elizabeth R. Spangler, wife of Paul; five grandchildren: Stacie Swaney, Sherrie Gerhart, George Miller, Jr., Christopher Newman, and Kenneth Miller; ten great grandchildren: Alisha Bawiec, Cole Miller, Calvin Seten, Miles Seten, Hattie Seten, Preston Seten, Sean Newman, Desiree Garcia, Kyle Miller, and Klint Miller; seven great-great grandchildren: Samuel, StanLee, Roman, Xavier, Greyson, Boston, and Sage and one brother, Ronald C. Hardenstine.

She was preceded in death by five brothers: William, Harry, Howard, Harold, and Kenneth Hardenstine; and five sisters: Evelyn Gassert, Amy Tatum, Jennie Wise, Beatrice Blouch, and Mildred Gahres.

A visitation will be held from on March 13, 2026, from 10:00- 11:00 am at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S 9th St, Lebanon, PA 17042, followed by a Service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately.
