Obituary

Mary Jean (Uhrich) Hilton, 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 10, 2022 surrounded by her loving family where she resided with her daughter and son in law in Lebanon, PA. She was the loving wife of the late Luther T. Hilton, to whom she was married for 53 years.
Born in Lebanon on August 29, 1932, she was the daughter of the late T. Edward and M. Elizabeth (Uhrich) Heath. Raised in the household of her grandparents, J. Allen and Kathryn (Murray) Uhrich and their 10 children, she was considered the youngest child. Mary Jean was a graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School, class of 1950. She was a member of The Assumption of the BVM Catholic Church, later attending St Cecilia's Catholic Church while residing with her daughter. Her Faith in Our Lord and God was carried with her throughout her life. Those virtues of faith and love were instilled in her family. She was a faithful member of the Legion of Mary, Warriors for Our Blessed Mother. She worked as a ward clerk/unit secretary on the surgical units at Good Samaritan Hospital, retiring after 25 years of service.
Mary Jean will be remembered as a kindhearted, beautiful soul, always thinking of others before herself. Family was always important to her and she never missed a birthday, anniversary, holiday or special occasion always remembering others with a card, a cake, or a gift. She loved all her many grand doggies and her daughter's foster doggies as she is seen in many pictures holding them. She and Luther were extraordinary dancers and could be seen on the local dance floors whenever possible. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and always in our hearts.
She is survived by a brother, David Heath of Newmanstown; daughters, Theresa (Terry) Hilton and Frances Thomas (wife of the late James Cameron Thomas) of Lebanon; a son, Thomas, partner of Melody Bohr of Harrisburg; grandson Joshua Lewis, husband of Misty of Fleetwood; granddaughter Andrea, wife of Leo Tirado, Sr. of Lebanon; 4 great grandchildren - Haley Lewis, Alivia, Leo Jr., and Cameron Tirado; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Mark E. Heath; stepson, Carl V. Hilton, and 9 Uhrich brothers and sisters.
