Mary R. Hartman, 89, of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the Lebanon Valley Home. She was the wife of the late Philip J. Hartman. Born in Lebanon on February 5, 1933, Mary was one of 15 children born to the late Edgar and Mary Anna (Gross) Shutter.

As a member of St. Mary's Church, Mary was an active member of the Ladies Board for several years. She was a member of the Lebanon County Farm Women for many years and volunteered as a kindergarten aide in St. Mary's Regional School. Mary was an avid bowler, loved to bake and play Bingo. In her later years, she enjoyed following her favorite sports teams and spending time with her grandchildren playing board games and cards. She was especially fond of annual family reunions where she was able to spend time with her brothers and sisters, cousins, and many nieces and nephews.

She is survived by three daughters - Joan Hartman and her husband, Steve Wentz, Patricia Shaffer and her husband, Butch, and Phyllis Weddle; five grandchildren - Jennifer Reed and her husband, Daniel, Kyle Kissinger, Andrew Weddle and his wife, Becky, Melanie Weddle and her fiance, Liam Brereton, and Casey Weddle.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kristen Shaner, and her son in law, Eddie Weddle.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 30th from 10-11am at St. Mary's Church, 2 North 8th Street, Lebanon, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. has been entrusted with arrangements.
