Martha Marie (Arnold) Lengle, age 88 years, passed from this life on May 20, 2023 at Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon, PA.
Martha was born on August 1, 1934 in Iowa to the late Raphael and Hattie (Ohlendorf) Arnold, and soon after moved with her family to Lebanon. She attended Holy Angels Academy in Minnesota where she had the opportunity to make good friends, play basketball, and appreciate her teachers and studies. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Lebanon where she excelled in religion and played a main role in the senior play.
Martha attended Empire Beauty School in Lebanon and became a beautician and worked at several salons. She also worked as a waitress and was employed by Rentals Unlimited. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Church in Lebanon. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends, and collecting recipes. She also enjoyed watching classic movies and musicals, as well as reading and playing cards.
Martha is survived by her daughter, Dana A. Eisenhauer, wife of John H.; four grandchildren: Jennifer L. Davis, Bryan S. Buffenmeyer, Sr., Erika L. Hummel and Hattie McClung; 10 great grandchildren: Devonte Chavis, husband of Desiree, Anthony Holder, Javoun Holder, Jaiden Holder, Katelynn Buffenmeyer, Bryan S. Buffenmeyer, Jr., Bryana Buffenmeyer, Xavier Bates, Sebastian Bates, and Noah Riehl; and five great-great grandchildren, Devonte Chavis, Jr., Levonye Chavis, Avont Chavis, Kalena Holder, and Kailaani Holder.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Christie M. Buffenmeyer and Kathy L. Hummel; a great grandson, Michael Buffenmeyer and eight siblings: Bonita Peterson, William Arnold, Edna Shoberg, Elizabeth Nelson, Leroy Arnold, Mark Arnold, Joseph Arnold, and George Arnold.
