Marlene Renee Tsirnikas, 72, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Hershey Medical Center, with her family by her side. She was the wife of Peter Tsirnikas.  Born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania on September 11, 1950, Marlene was the daughter of the late Charles and Fern (Miller) Gibson.

Marlene's career included working in elementary schools and retail as she genuinely loved helping others. She was always quick to volunteer to help anyone and always enjoyed making baked goods for the church bazaar. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Lebanon PA and the Gift of Life Organ Donor Program after receiving a bilateral lung transplant in 2006.

Marlene retired in 2021 and she spent most of her time pursuing her passions of baking, creating spectacular flower arrangements, gardening, and reading. She also loved to shop with her daughter, Melissa and enjoyed spending time with her family and attending her granddaughter Trinity's various activities and school events.

In addition to her husband, Peter, Marlene is survived by her daughters: Melissa Emerich and Lori Ann Bartal (wife of David T. Bartal) one granddaughter, Trinity Anne Bartal; one brother-in-law Harry Shideler, and one niece Heather Coons.

In addition to her parents, Marlene is preceded in death by her daughter, Ericka L. Gibson and her sister, Susan ("Stevie") Shideler.
