Margarueite J. Light, 92, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022. She was the wife of the late Russell K. "Flash" Light.

Born in Lebanon, PA on October 8, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Lena A. (Royer) and Harry Hemperly.

Margarueite was a graduate of Lebanon High School. After graduation, she taught ballet in Lebanon and Harrisburg and worked at Indiantown Gap. Later in life she studied and helped many people through her foot reflexology and deep muscle therapy. She retired from the VAMC Radiology Department in 2000.

Margarueite enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to her grandchildren's sports and activities, going out for brunch, flowers, dogs, a good cup of coffee, and watching Hallmark movies. She had a beautiful smile, fun personality, kindness and empathy for others, and always gave good advice. She was a member of Church of the Good Shepherd.

She is survived by a daughter, Debra J. and husband Steven P. Leibig; granddaughter Abbey and spouse Stanley Joseph; grandson Benjamin and spouse Amanda Leibig; two great-grandsons, Miles and Mason Joseph; and a brother Leon Hemperly; as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Wellspan Home Care and Hospice and Debbie and George Zimmerman for their wonderful care to both of our parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, September 19, 2022 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S 9th St, Lebanon, PA 17042. A visitation will be from 10:30-11:30 am prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Church of the Good Shepherd, 1500 Quentin Road, Lebanon, PA 17042.
