Mabel Louise (Budner) Levengood, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 under Hospice Care in the Healthcare Center at the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown.
Mabel was preceded in death in 2018 by her husband, Henry L. Levengood with whom she celebrated 60 years of marriage.
Surviving Mabel are her 3 children Claire L. Rennie (H. Andrew), of Manheim, PA. John (Beverly), and Jeffrey (Cynthia), both of Lebanon, PA. Also surviving are the following 9 grandchildren: Kristopher H. Uffner (Michelle Albright), Patrick D. Uffner, Claire Elizabeth Lutz (Keith Jr.), Brittany Englehart (Adam), Lauren Sullivan (Ryan), C. Scott (Kelly), Rebecca L. (Brittany), and Michael B. Reazer (Elizabeth), Victoria E. Levengood (Brandon Soboleski). In addition, Mabel is survived by the following 21 great-grandchildren: Jayden P., Kameron L., Olivia G., and Paisley J. Uffner, Aidyn Miller, Carter Dodson, Delaney T., Knolan A., and Layton A. Lutz, Julia K. and Caleb M. Englehart, Kaiden T. and Jamarion L. Levengood, Brandon G. and Acelynn B. Soboleski. Jayden, Jevin, Jarress, Jastin, Jerrik, and Artimus Reazer.
Mabel is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Additionally, Mabel is survived by sister-in-law Patricia Grosholz (Robert) of New Jersey.
Born in Altoona (Blair County), PA on June 27, 1939. Mabel was preceded in death by her parents John T. and Claire E. (Monaghan) Budner.
Mabel retired in 2000 as Legal Secretary to John R. Kelsey, III Esquire after 26 years of service. She was a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Lebanon, PA. Mabel was a 1957 graduate of Lebanon High School where she was involved in numerous clubs and school activities. Along with her husband, Henry, she was a "Steelers" fan, Mabel enjoyed football and Lebanon Cedars basketball, the Jersey Shore, spending time with her family, and the color purple.
A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church located 2 North 8th St., Lebanon, PA 17046, with Mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church at the above address. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
