Lynette M. Heckard, 79, of Lebanon, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Hershey Medical Center.

Born in Lebanon, PA on August 16, 1945, Lynette was a daughter of the late Ernest and Agnes (Tater) Shott. She worked as a pharmaceutical technician for the Lebanon VA Medical Center for nearly 20 years. She was a faithful and active member of St. Mary's Church. She loved baking and her flowerbeds.

Lynette is survived by her daughter, Angela M. Heckard; two grandchildren, Tyler Heckard and Kristen C. Viera; three great grandsons, Ivan Viera, Jr., Roman Viera, and Warren Heckard; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Paul Heckard; five siblings: Ernest Shott, Stephen Shott, Marcella Eck, and infants Linda Kay and Kath Maureen; and her companion of 15 years, Thomas C. Long.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at St. Mary's Church,  2 N 8th St, Lebanon, PA 17046. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lynette's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 897, Hershey, PA 17033.
