Luz Maria Mercado Diaz, 83, of Leesport, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at St. Joseph's Medical Center.

Born in Aibonito, Puerto Rico on June 1, 1939, Luz was a daughter of the late Juan Mercado and Ruperta Diaz. She enjoyed puzzles, playing scratch off tickets and spending time with her grandchildren.

Luz is survived by her son, Norberto Rosario Mercado; five grandchildren, Junitah, Vanessa, Mario, Michael, and Adrian; many great grandchildren; three brothers, Pedro, Juan, and Jose; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mirian.
