Luz Maria Martinez, 77, of Lebanon, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2022 at home. She was the wife of the late Angelo Martinez.

Born in Humancao, Puerto Rico on April 15, 1945, Luz was a daughter of the late Lino Perez Cuadrado and Juana Ortiz.

Luz was a Retailer/Homemaker all her career. She retired from the Local Walmart in Lebanon in 2001 where she was a cashier. Although she was only 4'6" tall she was small but mighty. She had a larger than life way about her. She was considered one tough cookie by all who knew her.

Luz is survived by her daughter, Mari L. Reyes; son, Joseph Cruz; daughter in law, Wendy Cruz; brother, Secundino Perez; her grandchildren: Ray, Jason, Fernando, Jacqueline, Michael, Andy, Will, Luis, Melanie, Gianna, Jaden, Jessica and Deanna; numerous great grandchildren; and her nephews: Jose, Miguel, Wilfredo, Ismael and Jorge. If anyone was missed , please forgive me.

She also leaves behind her beloved church family: Iglesia Berith "Oasis de Esperanza "COB Pastored by Arlyn A Morales. Our family could not be more thankful for all the love and support they have shown Luz up to her last day on earth. The love shown to Luz and our family was priceless and will always be dear to us all.

We will all miss her cooking, strong spirit, quick wit, wisdom and her stern yet big heart. As she goes to be with our Lord and to be reunite with our loved ones. It is with mixed emotions that say farewell. You will be missed but we rejoice knowing you are in our Lord's Kingdom. So let us just say, until we meet again. ❤️ We love you mommy
