Lois J. Wood, 78, of Denver, PA, departed this world on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 in Ephrata, Pennsylvania.

Born on May 11, 1945 in Baltimore, Maryland. Lois was the daughter of Geneva (Thornberry) and Frank Sloan. Lois married her husband Howard A. Wood in 1961 and would've celebrated their 62nd anniversary on October 18th. She was a graduate of El Dorado School of Beauty and Dundalk Community College, both of Baltimore, Maryland. Later employed as an activities director at Meridan Nursing Home, then owner of Middle Creek Slender You in Denver, Pennsylvania until 2002.

Lois was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ; her savior. She attended Waters Edge Baptist Church in Dundalk, MD and Wiest Memorial Church in Schoeneck, PA.

Lois is survived by her husband of 62 years, Howard A. Wood; her daughter, Della and Jeff Phillips; her son, Howard and Justine Wood; four grandchildren: Crystal and Seth Eckman, Michael Jr. and Tianna Cate, Brittany and Alex Palogiannidis and Geneva Phillips; also great grandchildren: Aaron, Lily and Christopher Eckman, Preston, Penelope, Paxton, and Pnya Palogiannidis, and Ryleigh and Michael Cate III.
