Lawrence P. Gibson, 96, of Hershey, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at home. He was the long time companion of Mary Shifflett.

Born in Lynnwood, Virginia on September 27, 1925, Lawrence was a son of the late Clyde and Ressie (Lawhorn) Gibson. He enjoyed fishing, archery hunting, golfing, gardening, and cooking, especially at Camp Buck.

Lawrence is survived by six children, Larry, Barry, Linda, Bonnie, Brenda, and Judy; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Earl and Willard "Dickie"; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Blaine Gibson and 14 siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 30th at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S 9th St, Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10-11 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lawrence's name may be made to Wellspan Hospice, 1503 Quentin Rd, Lebanon, PA 17042.
