Laurie J. Horn, 69, of Lebanon, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 22, 2025. Born in Pittsburgh on December 20, 1955, Laurie was a daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Galosi) Carrara.

Just two weeks ago, she and her husband, Conrad P. Horn, Jr. celebrated 38 years of marriage, which they always joked was "a match made just this side of heaven" since Laurie was a devoted Steelers fan and Conrad a lifelong Raiders fan.

Laurie was a 1974 graduate of Cedar Crest High School in Lebanon and was an active member of St. Cecilia's Church, where she began volunteering many years ago as a young girl alongside her mother. Her faith was quiet but unwavering, shown through her generosity of time.

After 35 years, Laurie retired from Lancaster-Lebanon IU-13, where she worked as a para educator with mentally and physically challenged adolescents. Laurie loved her work and took immense pride in it, leaving behind a legacy of unconditional love, patience and compassion.

She and her husband, Conrad were big fans of rock and roll and would choose attending concerts over a fancy vacation any day. They shared a love for live music (Especially Journey, Chicago, and The Trans-Siberian Orchestra) that created some of their favorite memories - loud, happy, and unforgettable.

Laurie adored her family and shared a special and unbreakable bond with her nieces and nephews - Marta Jo, Leann, Jarod, Corrie, Stevie, and Lincoln - who brought immense joy to her life and whom she loved as her own.

Laurie's life was rich in laughter, purpose, and love and although she is no longer with us, the light she brought into our lives will never fade.

In addition to her husband, Laurie is survived by her son, Jordan Horn and his wife, Emily Sim; her brother, Anthony Carrara; two sisters, Kelly Howatt and Caraline Engle and her husband, Michael; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Christine Smith and brother-in-law, Stephen Smith.

A one hour visitation will be held from 10-11am on Tuesday, July 1st at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th Street, Lebanon, PA 17042. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11am.
