Karl A. Kimmel, 68, of Harrisburg, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023 at home. Born in Lebanon on January 26, 1955, he was the son of Robert A. Kimmel and the late Doris Mae (Leib) Kimmel.

Prior to his retirement, Karl worked as a weatherization monitoring supervisor for the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development for 36 years. He enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting and following Notre Dame football. His favorite times were spent with his four legged grand dog, Zach.

In addition to his father, Karl is survived by two sons - Ryan A. Kimmel, husband of Jennifer, and Alex T. Kimmel, husband of Nolan Ritchie; a daughter, Melissa Ainsworth; two grandchildren - Charlotte and Joslynn Kimmel; two brothers - Charles Kimmel, husband of Donna, and Thomas Kimmel, husband of Denise. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Kimmel.
