Justina Burkholder, 88, of Lebanon, passed away peacefully with family at her side on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Stone Ridge Towne Centre, Myerstown. She was the wife of Robert M. Burkholder, Sr., to whom she was married for over 66 years.

Born in Lebanon, PA on March 31, 1935, Justina was a daughter of the late Charles and Carrie (Arnold) Miller. She was a devout, lifelong member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church and graduated from St. Gertrude's parochial school and Lebanon Catholic High School. She was a loving wife and dedicated sister, mother, and grandmother who imbued all around her with her faith, interest in current affairs, and love of learning and reading. She enjoyed all sports, especially football.  She had a love of music, always having a song in her heart and on her lips. Justina was a long-term member of the church choir.  She worked for many years in the Sears catalogue department, maintaining  friendships long after the department closed Justina seemed happiest attending her grandchildren's events or when baking for her husband, children, and grandchildren.  She was an avid pinochle player and long-time member of a pinochle club with her friends.

In addition to her husband, Justina is survived by her five children: Robert Burkholder, Jr., husband of Elizabeth, Kathy Brandt wife of David (deceased),  Thomas Burkholder, husband of Jennifer, Lisa Long, wife of John, and Kevin Burkholder, husband of Gina; twelve grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and two sisters, Irene McKenzie and Louise Kreiser and sister-in-law, Jean (Price). She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Joseph, Jerome, and John Miller and three sisters, Sr. Justina Maria Miller, OSF, Cecilia Rumpf, and Helen Bonner.

A visitation will be held from 10-11 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 13, 2023 at St. Cecilia's Church, 120 E Lehman St, Lebanon, PA 17046 followed by lunch. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
