Josephine "Josie" Henrietta Brown, 93, passed away June 5th at Cedar Haven. Josephine was a beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.

Josephine was born on September 21, 1930 in Steelstown to Joseph Vernal Ellenberger and Josephine Henrietta Moore. After high school, Josie worked for Reese's. She then worked as a presser at Dutch Miss for over 40 years. Josephine developed many close friendships over the years and was always willing to help others in need.

Josephine was a cancer survivor, after being diagnosed with melanoma and breast cancer, she continued to live a happy, healthy life for 20 years. Josie enjoyed spending time with her family, and in her later years, she loved bingo, watching movies, and having coffee with her friends at Willow Terrace.

Josephine is survived by her daughter Carol Stephen, and son-in-law, Dean, both of Palmyra; granddaughter Michelle Harvey, and great-granddaughter Chloe, of Plymouth Meeting; brother Dana Ellenberger, of Steelstown; and sister Patsy of Annville.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Donations to honor Josephine can be made to the Humane Society of Lebanon County, 150 N Ramona Rd, Myerstown, PA 17067.
