Obituary

Joseph G. Novosel, Jr., 87, of Cornwall, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022 at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of Lois M. (Fratini) Novosel.

Born in Lebanon, PA on March 16, 1935, Joseph was a son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Rhen) Novosel. He was a veteran of the United States Army stationed in Korea. He was retired from the Bethlehem Steel Foundry and worked at New Penn Motor Express for many years. He was a member of the former Rexmont Fire Company and the American Legion. He was a member of St. Paul's the Apostle Catholic Church. He was an avid Penn State football, Hershey Bears hockey, and Phillies baseball fan. He enjoyed polka dancing, walking, and playing baseball.

In addition to his wife, Joseph is survived by a daughter, Jody M. Lenington, wife of Jerry; a brother, Stephen Novosel, husband of Joanne; several nieces and nephews; and his grand puppy, Bailey.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 125 S Spruce St, Annville, PA 17003. Interment with full military honors will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A viewing will be held prior to mass from 10-11 at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joseph's name may be made to St. Paul's Church at the above address or the Alzheimer's Research Foundation ( alzheimersresearchfoundation.com ) Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
