Joseph Kury passed from this life on August 30, 2022. He was born November 5, 1936 in Lebanon, PA to the late Anton and Teresa (Karli) Kury. He attended St. Gertrude's Parochial School and was a graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School in 1954. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He retired as a bookkeeper in 1998.

He left behind his wife of sixty-four years, Ann (Thompson), his five sons, Stephen (Jane), Anthony, Paul (Kristy), Joseph (Becky), and Francis, along with seven granddaughters,  three grandsons, and eighty-five years of wonderful memories.

Joe enjoyed golf, swimming at the Millardsville Quarry, playing softball and tennis during the summer, ice skating and playing hockey in the winter. He may or may not have enjoyed many comical fishing adventures with his sons. As he got older he took an interest in gardening, drawing, and crossword puzzles.

He is preceded in death by his four brothers, Jacob, Anthony, Paul, and Francis.

He will be dearly missed.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at St. Mary's Church, 2 N 8th St, Lebanon, PA 17046. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. A viewing will be held prior to Mass from 10-11 at the church. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
