Obituary

On June 14, 2025, Jonathon (Jay) Paul Minnich of Grantville, Pennsylvania, went home to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 74.

He is preceded in death by his father, August (Gus) Seidenberger and Mother, Joanna Minnich.

He is survived by his loving wife, LuAnne; Step-Mother, Louise Seidenberger; Sons, Jonathan Minnich, Daniel Minnich (Cassandra); Sisters, Pam Irizarry (Albert), Kym Steinberg (Nick); Step-Daughter, Amanda Spurlin (Shane); Grandchildren, Allie Spurlin (Dalton) and Elijah Spurlin.

Jay was a long time member of East Shore Baptist Church where he was a deacon, Sunday School teacher, Terra Keeper, and played drums on the worship team. He was constantly helping others in any way he could. Through God, he was able to touch many lives.

Jay found joy in life's simple pleasures: quiet times reading his Bible, a good book, lively debates, a Green Bay Packers game, playing tennis, searching for antiques and making music with friends.

Jay's presence was bold and full of life. His smile and wit was contagious. He leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, creativity, joy and an unwavering devotion to his family. He will be dearly missed by not only his family but his whole community.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at East Shore Baptist Church on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 11:00am. Family will receive friends from 10:00am – 11:00am prior to the service.
