John J. Poukish, III, 67, of Lebanon, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022 at the Lebanon VA Medical Center.

Born in Biloxi, Mississippi on December 13, 1954, John was the son of the late John, Jr. and Rosemarie (Mascio) Poukish. He was a United States Navy veteran and worked in the maintenance department at the Lebanon VA Medical Center for more than ten years. A member of the Lebanon VFW, he enjoyed trips to the local farmers market, cooking and eating out, watching movies and listening to music, countless camping excursions with family, and visits to his family in New Jersey. John's circle of friends were important to him and he made staying in touch with them a priority. John lived a simple life and loved his family and friends with all his heart.

John is survived by his two children - Melissa Stevens and her husband, Mark and John J. Poukish IV and their mother, Nora; two grandchildren - Ray Poukish and John J. Poukish V; two sisters - Susan and Elaine; a brother, Roy; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 12-1pm followed by a service at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 21st at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 South 9th Street in Lebanon. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's name may be made to the American Cancer Society ( cancer.org ) or by check to P.O. Box 897, Hershey, PA 17033.
