John J. Garrett, 80, of Lebanon, passed away on October 3, 2026. John was born on February 14, 1946, the son of Edward and Mary Garrett, Myerstown, PA.

He graduated from ELCO in 1964, was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and worked in oil and car sales. John was a loving husband to his wife of 40 years, Gail (Heilman) Garrett. John and Gail enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, cruising, dining out, and spending time with family and friends. John also enjoyed the game of golf. He was a longtime member of the YMCA. He enjoyed working out and walking the track with friends. In his younger years, he loved riding motorcycles and was one of the founding members of Sunnyside Motorcycle Club. John was a lifetime member of the Mannechor Club, the Liberty, and Richland Legion. He also enjoyed listening to "oldies" music, especially Elvis, and watching football and golf.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by a sister, Brenda Hess of Lancaster, PA and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Garrett, Alameda, CA and sister, Florence Bartolett of Richland, PA.

John and his wife, Gail, had a wonderful life full of love and happiness. John was a great husband and a great friend to many. John will be greatly missed but his memories will be cherished always.
