John Braun, 73, of Harrisburg, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2026 at Amoroso Woodridge Health and Rehab. Born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania on March 21, 1953, John was a son of the late John M. Braun Jr. and Catherine (Fraytic) Braun.

He worked at the Department of Environmental Protection. He had a special and deep love for his dogs and cats, and even volunteered his time at the Humane Society in Myerstown.

He is survived by his sister Kathleen Heilman (Robert), two nieces, Rene Buck and Jennifer Bushman (Christopher), a great nephew, Hunter Buck and one great niece, Zoe Bushman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday May, 29, 2026 at St. Cecilia's Church, 120 E Lehman St, Lebanon, PA 17046 at 11:00AM. A visitation will be held prior from 10:00-11:00AM. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
