Johanna "Honey" Krizan lived wonderfully and died beautifully and peacefully at home on August 28, 2022. Born in Lebanon PA on February 12, 1927 to the late Joseph and Catherine (Karli) Klespis, Honey was married to the late John E. Krizan on November 26, 1955.

She is survived by her children André, daughter-in-law Jolene Camasta Brandt (Hamlin), Renée Krizan (Lebanon), Daniel Krizan (Harrisburg) and Gerard 'Jerry' Krizan (Lebanon). She is also survived by grandsons Derek, wife Lindsey Costik Krizan (Middletown) and their children Lucas and Findley; Joshua Krizan and fiancé Nikki Baum (Hummelstown); Zachary and wife Kelly Erenfeuchter Krizan (Hummelstown); Jared and Kyra O'Neal Brandt (Cleona) and their son Isaac Theodore Brandt; Erik and Mary Gardner Brandt (Annville) and their daughter Mary Brandt. Honey is also survived by a sister Barbara Klespis Aiduk (Littleton CO), a brother-in-law Tony Berger (Lebanon), and too many doting nieces and nephews to list.

Along with her husband John, his siblings and spouses, preceding her in death were her siblings, and spouses, Rosina Klespis (Sr. Wilburta, OSF); Anthony and Theresa Lanser Klespis (El Paso, TX); Catherine Klespis and Charles Bender (Lebanon); Mary Klespis and Wallace Martin (Lebanon); Frances Klespis and John "Jack" Flaherty (Wilmington, DE); Joseph and Delia Patricia Dooley Klespis (Harrisburg); Teresa Klespis Berger (Lebanon); Gertrude Klespis and David Fink (Lebanon); Agnes Klespis McDonnell (Lebanon); Patricia Klespis and Frank Baim (Lebanon); and brother-in-law Robert Aiduk (Littleton, CO). An infant baby sister Theresa Klespis and several nieces and nephews also heralded her heavenly arrival.

Honey loved working crossword, jigsaw puzzles and the Phillies, hobbies she learned to appreciate from her father, and enjoyed them to the end. She, along with her sisters, will always be remembered for their A Capella four-part harmony singing that took place whenever they gathered, especially loved by family at sundown at 'the cottage' and at church functions when they were frequently asked to be the spontaneous entertainment. As a member of St Cecelia's (formerly St. Gertrude's) Church, she was involved in many church activities including choir and instructing School of Religion and RCIA classes. As past president of their Council of Catholic Women she enjoyed many church activities including the former United Nations Social Dinners she and her sisters would work tirelessly to create. She will be remembered by many for being at the helm of the annual Fastnacht sale her mother helped to start many years ago, counting money at the festivals, and organizing the Christmas Bazaars, along with any other communal bake sales the church held. Honey dabbled as an amateur writer who penned a 50th Anniversary and a Christmas Pageant for the Church, along with other tributes and parables. Crocheting and knitting were also hobbies, but her favorite by far was being "Grandma Honey", especially when the grands were little and spent days at Grandma Honey and Paw Paws retirement haven in Hamlin where she could spend hours looking at her mountains, and where she loved her meditation and prayer time while riding the mower to cut grass. Honey loved family gatherings and was happiest when she was preparing food for these events and loved when it was time to start the 'Christmas Cookie Factory,' which was earlier each year. She was also content to read her collection of cookbooks, cover to cover the way anyone else would read a novel.

She will be missed by the many people who's lives she touched.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at St. Cecilia's Church, 120 E Lehman St, Lebanon, PA 17046. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery. A viewing will be held prior to mass from 10-11 at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Johanna's name may be made to St. Cecilia's Church at the above address.
