Joan R. Landis, 92, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at home. She was the wife of the late George F. Landis, Jr.

Born in Cutchogue, New York on April 30, 1931, Joan was a daughter of the late Mary Gagen. She was a 1949 graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School and earned a nursing degree from Mary Immaculate Hospital. She worked as a registered nurse for the Lebanon VA Medical Center for 30 years. She was a member of Reach for Recovery for 20 years, The Church of St. Cecilia, and the association of National Active and Retired Federal Employees. She enjoyed doing volunteer work, helping others, knitting, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Joan is survived by two sons, George F. Landis, III, husband of Susan, and Michael S. Landis, husband of Marsha; two grandchildren, Jared and Emma Landis; and several nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 St. Cecilia's Church, 120 E Lehman St, Lebanon, PA 17046. Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A viewing will be held prior to Mass from 10-11 at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan's name may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
