James M. Shirato, 56, of Lebanon, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022 at his residence. He was the husband of Sara C. (Uhrich) Shirato.

Born in Lebanon, PA on June 12, 1966, James was a son of Patricia (Reckus) Shirato and the late James Shirato. He worked as a machinist for Seakeeper Inc. in Leesport, PA and prior to that he worked for PJ Values and Joma. He enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and Florida and going to Phillies and Steelers games. He loved spending time with his wife, son and daughter-in-law, and having picnics at Memorial Lake with his wife and dog Duke.

In addition to his wife, James is survived by a son, Matthew S. Shirato, husband of Jamie; three sisters, Christine Evans, wife of Michael, Karen Arndt, wife of Raymond, and Carolyn Reb, wife of Thomas; nieces and nephews, Shane, Kyle, Natalie, Michael, Jeremy, and Dylan; two great nieces; and several nieces and nephews from Sara's side of the family.

A visitation will be held from 9-11 am on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S 9th Street, Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in James' name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, the National Kidney Foundation, or Our Lady of the Cross School, 1691 Grace Ave, Lebanon, PA 17046.
