James (Jim) Michael Fick, age 90, passed peacefully at his home on May 31, 2026.
A lifelong resident of Lebanon, Jim graduated from Lebanon Catholic High School and Lebanon Business College, and entered the insurance business where he managed a four-county region for 41 years. Jim was a people-person who, over decades in the profession, was a friend to many and mentor to countless young professionals.
Fick served his community in many areas, including class treasurer, Republican Committee person, the South Lebanon Zoning Board, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and President of Aspen Development Homeowners Association. Jim and his wife, Janice, worship at St. Cecelia's Catholic Church where he was a member of the Holy Name Society.
He had great respect for others, love for his community, and was always equipped with humorous sayings. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, a hard worker with quick wit and resilience throughout his well-lived life.
In addition to his parents, the late Nicolas and Marianna Fick, he was preceded in death by 8 brothers and 4 sisters.
James said his greatest joy and proudest accomplishments are his children and family. He is survived by his wife, Janice of 70 years; daughters Christi (Dean) Wolf, Linda (Frank) Reich, and Gina Fick Stahlnecker; and son James M. (Tammy) Fick; 9 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed, but joined with Christ in glory!
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 8, 2026 at St. Cecilia's Church, 120 E Lehman St, Lebanon, PA 17046. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park. A visitation will be held prior to Mass from 10-11 at the church. The family welcomes flowers or donations in Jim's memory may be made to St. Cecilia's Church at the above address.
