Jacob J. Brandt, 95, of Annville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 19, 2022 surrounded by family at his home of 65 years. He was the husband of the late Dorothy Mae (Fox) Brandt, to whom he was married for 72 years.

Born in Annville, PA on July 23, 1926, Jacob was a son of the late Jacob M. and Florence (Moyer) Brandt. He was a proud generational farmer and a member of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau. In addition to his passion for farming he had many side businesses, which included a backhoe business, trucking business, sub shop owner, laundromat owner, owner of a bar in Jonestown, and an ice business. He enjoyed helping people in the community, plowing the neighbors driveways in the winter, donating food and money to the church and to the boy scouts. He loved getting outside and having family members take him for rides in his truck and shopping at the farmers markets. He enjoyed visits from his grandchildren, countless hours sitting in his sunroom watching the birds and squirrels, and watching game shows on TV.

Jacob is survived by three children, Ronald Lee Brandt, husband of Brenda, Susan L. Craig, companion of Mike Tribioli, and Michael L. Brandt, husband of Tammy; his daughter-in-law, Barbara Brandt; sixteen grandchildren, Nita Dunn, wife of Paul, Rusty Brandt, Timothy Brandt, husband of Christina, John Brandt, husband of Michelle, Bonita Mousley, wife of Shawn, James Brandt, husband of Alicia, Matthew Brandt, Gloria McGee, Brian Craig, husband of Shannon, Eric Shope, husband of Sarah, Nicolas Brandt, husband of Angela, Danny Brandt, husband of Faith, Maria Brandt, Sarah Shields, wife of Ryan, Jason Brandt, husband of Maggie, and Jarod Brandt; thirty-one great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; a brother, Roger Brandt; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Robert L. Brandt; a brother, Alvin Brandt and a sister, Erma Perri.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park Cemetery.
