J. Michael Kipp, 80, of Lebanon, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022 at home. He was the husband of Judith A. (White) Kipp. Born in Lebanon on May 16, 1942, John was a son of the late John and Bertha (Barry) Kipp.

In addition to his wife, Mike is survived by two daughters, Gayle Boltz, wife of Eric, and Denise Firestone, wife of Douglas; two grandchildren, Katie Wenzler, wife of Kirk, and Trevor Firestone; two brothers; three sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.

After retiring from TMI, Mike worked as the supervisor of South Hills Park, a job he truly loved doing for over 18 years. During that time, Mike worked tirelessly to improve and beautify the park that so many people enjoy using. Throughout his life, one of his favorite things was being outdoors hiking, canoeing, snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, or riding bike with family and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 16th at 11:00am at St. Mary's Church, 2 North 8th Street, Lebanon. A visitation will be held prior to Mass from 10-11am. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
