Irvin John "June" Shaak Jr., 92, of Lebanon, passed away under the care of Hospice at Wyomissing Health and Rehabilitation Center on May 11th, 2024.  He was born in Lebanon on February 1st, 1932, a son of the late Irvin John Shaak Sr. and Elizabeth Sophia (Heverling) Shaak.

Irvin was the husband of Judith (Guare) Shaak for 60 years.  Irvin was a proud Union Carpenter and prided himself on taking on the jobs no one else would do. He enjoyed watching car racing and especially loved Cheering on Dale Earnhardt. He enjoyed working on cars and restored a 1933 Ford three window coupe.  He won multiple prizes and first place trophies at various car shows in the area for his custom build.

Irvin was an avid Phillies fan and shared that passion with his family. In his later years, he enjoyed singing karaoke, especially George Jones tunes. He was often found sporting a cowboy hat or a Phillies baseball cap.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Judith, and his children Debra Lukens, Waneida Spangler, Kevin Fitzpatrick, Lori Norman (Jeffrey) and Bryan Shaak. He is also survived by nine grandchildren - Brandi, Brian, Christopher, Jason, Jennifer, Abbagale, Brittni,  Griffin (Haley), Hannah (John); two great grand children; two brothers - Robert and Richard;  and two sisters - Janet Fink and Kay Morgan. He was preceded in death by his son, Earnest Shaak; two brothers - George and James and his sister, Barbara Lyter.

All services are private at the request of Irvin and Judith. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the immediate family.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Irvin's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or the local SPCA.
