Iris Maria Gonzalez Torres, 86, of Lebanon, PA, passed away on July 9, 2026. Born on January 23, 1940, in Utuado, Puerto Rico, she was the beloved daughter of the late Juan Gonzalez and Tomasa Collazo Gonzalez.

A talented and hardworking soul, Iris spent her professional life as a seamstress. Her hands were rarely still, and her craft was a testament to her patience and dedication. Beyond her work, Iris found her greatest joys in the simple beauties of life. She was an avid gardener who loved tending to her plants and found deep peace and strength in her faith, regularly praying the Rosary as a devoted member of St. Benedicts Church.

Iris was preceded in death by her beloved sons, Baby Boy Torres,  Angel L. Torres and siblings Eugene Gonzalez, Emilio Gonzalez and Juanita Rios. She is survived by her siblings Elisa Lopez, Maya Acevedo, Heriberto Gonzalez, Jose A. Gonzalez, Manuel A. Gonzalez and Carmelo Gonzalez. Her legacy of love, faith, and devotion lives on through her family. Her loving daughter, Carmen M. Barreiro, wife of Juan J. Barreiro. Her cherished grandchildren, Natasha L. Nieves, wife of Pedro Jesus Garcia II, Angel L. Nieves, Keymyra Barreiro, Modesto Rivera, husband of Rica-  Delgado Nieves and Ernesto Rivera, husband of Bianca Rivera. Her precious great-grandchildren, Pedro Jesus Garcia III, Kaiden Xavier Garcia, Carmine L. Rivera, Anthony Rivera, Alexa Rivera Delgado, Roman Louis Rivera, Gia Lilyana Rivera, Nico Joseph Rivera and family dog Mayor.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at St. Mary's Church, 2 North 8th Street, Lebanon, PA 17046. A viewing will be held prior from 10:00-11:00am. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
